The United Mental Health Promoter (UMHP) program aims to reduce mental health stigma throughout Los Angeles County — particularly in historically underserved cultural and linguistic communities — by increasing awareness about mental health issues, removing barriers, and improving timely access to culturally and linguistically appropriate resources. A team of program evaluators from the Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health and Human Longevity Science at UC San Diego has been contracted to provide evaluation and technical assistance services to the providers participating in the UMHP program. Resources related to these evaluation activities will be added here throughout the duration of the project for providers to reference.
